Guiding all people into a relationship with Jesus Christ
United Church of Christ of California Discipleship Dashboard
In our church family at the UCC of California, we strive together to become the disciples Jesus wants us to be. Being a disciple is not about fulfilling obligations and performing rituals. It’s a lifelong relationship with Jesus.
Connect – We worship together weekly, praying together and praying for each other, as we strengthen our personal relationship to Jesus and to each other.
Grow – We grow together in our relationship with Jesus through regular bible reading, biblical preaching, consistent prayer, and giving generously of our time, talents, and resources. Additionally, our youth have special growth experiences through VBS, ROK, confirmation, and Sunday School.
Love and Fellowship – In smaller groups we offer Sunday School, choirs, Brotherhood, Women’s Guild, youth fellowship, Wednesday Night meals, and bible studies. We get to know each other, share joys, share sorrows, and support each other in love.
Serve – We have ways of serving by being in the choir, being a scripture reader, greeter, teacher, dinner helper, encourager, nursery attendant, audio tech, or ministry leader; we use our unique talents and abilities to serve each other as a community of Christ.
Share – We tell the Good News to others by showing them that Jesus lives in our hearts. We also know that most people become part of a church family because they are invited by someone and feel welcomed when they come!
To guide people of all backgrounds into a personal relationship with Jesus. We want to love God, love people, and make disciples for Jesus.
